The Liebster Award!

I was nominated for the Liebster Award! Three times in fact. Thank you to the lovely HelenNatasha and Lilly!

11 Facts about Me:

1. I'm trying to grow my hair long enough to donate to the Little Princess Trust and I'm really tempted to just shave it all off after reading that Cate Blanchett said it was 'liberating'.
2. I have a real problem finishing things I start, I'm trying to become more of a completist.
3. I'm thinking of vlogging my trip I'm taking to Florence next month.
4. I'm dying to move out and have my own 'home'. I want a fresh start and to live somewhere with fresh country air.
5. I love the Stephen Fry Harry Potter audiobooks and I'm currently listening to it along with a friend of mine.
6. I have binge 6 seasons of The Office U.S. in the past week.
7. I've been vegetarian for around five years after giving it up for Lent- this years attempt at giving up chocolate is not going as well.
8. I have a permanent dent on my pinkie finger because of how much I rest my phone on it.
9. I'm currently reading five books and I have no idea how that happened...
10. I'm doing Camp Nanowrimo in April to try and finish my failed Nanowrimo novel from last year.
11. I'm going to the Manchester #bbloggers even tomorrow and I'm so nervous! Anyone else going?

Since I was nominated three times I decided to pick only one set of questions and I picked Helens...

1. Winter or Summer Olympics? Which sport is your favourite to watch?

I'm not an Olympics person! I watched the UK opening ceremony last year but that was it. I'm not really into sports. I'd be a lot more interested if there was some kind of reality TV element to it. Olympics/Jersey Shore :')

2. If you had to make an entire cooked meal with just five ingredients what would it be?
Mac 'n' Cheese! Macaroni, Cheese, Flour, Milk and Garlic. Oh now I have a craving for Mac 'n' Cheese. I might have to go make some…

3. What's the last film you watched at the cinema? Would you recommend it?
It was the latest Hobbit film and yes! I love both Tolkien and Peter Jacksons work and this was no exception.

4. What's your favourite book?
Yikes. Er. If push comes to shove- Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K Jerome. It is free on kindle/iTunes but if you have £2.95 to spare then I truly recommend you get this audiobook version read by Hugh Laurie that is just perfection.

5. When on holiday do you prefer exploring or relaxing?
Both! But exploring always lands me in trouble. I went to Venice last year and decided on the first day that I was going to deliberately get lost in the beautiful floating city. So I dropped a pin on the Maps app of where our rented place was- keep in mind that I had been there once late the night before and I was half asleep- and went and got lost. I took left turns, right turns, and walked till I was pretty much on the other side of Venice. Then when I decided to go home, my phone was dead. How I got back is the biggest mystery and one of my greatest achievements in life.

6. What's your favourite thing to do in your home city?
Leave *badumdumtssh*

7. If someone gave you £100 to live without your phone for a month could you do it?
Heck no. No way. Nuh-uh. When I got my current phone, the guy selling it to me said that I was getting 10MB of data a month and that there was no way I could possibly go over it… He was wrong.

8. What's your earliest memory?
Terrible memory! Er- probably the day that my primary school took a break from teaching to watch a football match and my friend and I were the only people on the playground.

9. When you feel like spending money where's the first place you go?
Probably to Boots. Or Etsy. Or Steam!

10. Which animal would your Patronus be?
I'd like to think it would be a panther- but probably a big fluffy cat.

11. Why/when did you decide to start blogging?
It would've been about 3 years ago during a summer holiday and I was so. bored. I was in the middle of a Lush/Mac obsession so Imogen Rose Beauty was born. Ah memories!

I don't actually follow anyone under 200 followers who haven't already won this award I think *for shame* so I would really appreciate some recommendations!
Thank you for reading!

  1. Love your answers! Please come make me mac 'n' cheese? And Venice is so confusing! I'm glad we didn't stray far because we probably would have been lost forever. So that is a very impressive achievement! :) x
